Itinerary

Negombo is the perfect first or last stop on any Sri Lankan journey. Nicknamed "Little Rome" for its numerous churches, this vibrant coastal city offers a unique blend of cultural heritage and a bustling fishing community. Enjoy the golden-sand beaches, explore the lively fish market, and take a serene boat ride through the tranquil Negombo Lagoon and historic Dutch canals.

Upon arrival, you will be assisted at the airport and taken to Negombo.

On day one, we have not planned any activities, so you are free to arrive in Sri Lanka at any time (we offer 24/7 airport transfer service).

You can spend the day relaxing on the beach or at your cozy hotel, and explore a nearby fishing village for an authentic glimpse into the local lifestyle.

After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Sigiriya with a stop at Dambulla Cave Temple.

The Dambulla Cave Temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla, is a stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka.The climb to the temple offers more than just a spiritual experience. From the top, you are rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding plains and the distant, iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

After visiting Dambulla Cave Temple you will take a walk through a peaceful village to experience Sri Lankan traditional village life. Enjoy delicious Sri Lankan Rice and Curry at village style. Once you are done with your lunch you will enjoy a traditional bullock cart ride and a scenic boat ride. 

Next, enjoy a wildlife safari at Minneriya National park to see elephants, sloth bears and other endemic animals. 

Wake up early the next morning to climb the Sigiriya. Sigiriya, or "Lion Rock," is a stunning 5th-century rock fortress and palace complex rising majestically from the Sri Lankan plains. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and often called the "Eighth Wonder of the World," it is a testament to ancient urban planning and engineering. The climb to the top offers a journey past ancient frescoes, a massive stone lion's paws, and a mirror wall covered in ancient graffiti, culminating in a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. 

Later, experience the traditional Sri Lankan Ayurvedic massage treatment.

With the morning meal complete, we set off to Nuwara Eliya. En route, stop by the Ambuluwawa Tower which is a highly unique landmark in Sri Lanka.

Experience a mesmerizing ascent through the heart of Ceylon Tea country. The road from Pussellawa to Nuwara Eliya winds steeply through an endless emerald carpet of tea plantations, where vibrant green slopes are meticulously contoured as far as the eye can see. You'll pass majestic waterfalls, such as the impressive Ramboda Falls, cascading down granite cliffs. The air grows crisper, often carrying the scent of fresh tea leaves and mist, as you climb towards the cool, cloud-kissed heights of 'Little England,' offering spectacular panoramic views at every turn.

It's renowned for its cool, temperate climate, lush, rolling hills covered in tea plantations, and numerous waterfalls. The city retains a strong colonial charm, with many buildings featuring Tudor-style architecture, a golf course, and the historic Grand Hotel, all remnants of its time as a favorite retreat for British planters and civil servants.

Yala National Park is the most famous and second-largest national park in Sri Lanka, located in the southeast corner of the island, bordering the Indian Ocean. This National Park is most famous for having one of the highest densities of leopards in the world, making it one of the best places globally to spot these elusive big cats in the wild.
